4 Virtual Doula Training Programs

I am often asked how one can become trained as a doula. My answer is never simple because there are A LOT of doula training organizations. However, my doula training experience was unique in that I was trained at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic meaning that my training was fully virtual. Virtual doula training programs are great for individuals who want a more self-paced option. Additionally, if you are juggling other commitments (work, school, etc) as I was when I wanted to get trained, virtual training may be a great avenue for you! Of note, if you can find an in-person training in your neighborhood that works with your schedule - go for it! - in-person learning is always ideal, however, if that is not an option this blog post is for you!

DONA International

I completed my birth doula training through DONA International one of the largest doula training organizations in the USA. DONA International is known for its in-person training. However, during the pandemic, some of their trainers began to offer virtual options which is how I completed my training. Fortunately, their virtual training option is here to stay!
